Been having an issue every summer with these bees building their home in my Tacomas side mirror pods. Tired of getting stung every time I open my drivers door. Tried all sorts of insect bomb sprays in there, but they keep coming back after a couple weeks. Any other suggestions would be helpful to keep them away for good.

I think I'm finally rid of those little stinging buggers. Was able to buy some very pure peppermint oil, and make a pump spray with a rattle can straw that fit deep between the mirror, and pod housing while pumping that liquid in there flushing those little bastards out. They seem to be all gone by the next day...so far so good. Fingers crossed...if nothing else the outside of the truck smells minty fresh.

So far so good, they're still gone. I soaked the inside of that mirror pod pretty good. It may take some time before all that peppermint oil dissipates. I just hope it doesn't screwup the mirrors operation. Now I still need to find a good sensible solution to keep birds from pooping all over my truck no matter where it's parked. They seem to hate that taliban tan color.
