My 2018 looks 10 years old clear coat was bad and is lifting what kinda corporate is Toyota won’t stand behind their brand wish list had purchased a f-150 l will never buy another Toyota product again. If you have the same problem contact me svalizan@sbcglobal.net
They have a warranty claim on the white models but not the red, very disappointing.

I feel your pain...toyota has had paint issues with calgary blue also. When I was shopping back in 2020 for my tacoma, one dealer I was at warned me that their whites, and this calgary blue had paint issues, telling me to choose another color. Another dealer strongly advised me to get their lifetime ceramic coating which i negotiated a cost for. So far my tacoma with their tailaban tan looks as if it came from the dealer.
Getting back to their reds which is the hardest color to keep looking vibrant.....I've had issues with their reds going back to 1977, having 3 different red pickups till 1994. All red trucks faded badly after several years when kept outside 24/7 no matter what wax, and how well they were protected. I will never ever buy a red truck again.
Maybe you should of had your dealer advise you ahead of time on the exterior colors as I did. Idk what else can be done now, except a class action suit that will take years to go anywhere even if it actually does.

My outside mirrors are lifting clear coat I'm just going to hit them with some satin black and be done! My nephew's 07 clear coat is lifting on the hood

I'll tell you it pays big time to get a professional ceramic coating, especially on these later tacoma's...toyota paint is junk.

Mine still has a nice shine I use McGuire's products. I used to buff cars for beer money in college at a used car lot, and went to school for auto body.

I used mothers carnauba wax on both my different year red toyota pickups...after around 7, or 8 years both started to fade badly. Btw...those trucks didn't use a clear coat in those days.
I don't believe my current taliban tan tacoma was clear coated either, but I had a hard ceramic coating done when new. So far, over 5 years later, it still looks like it was just waxed after a rain storm.
