1st gen tacos are nondisruptive, if the timing belt goes out they don't grenade! That doesn't necessarily mean go ahead and run 'er til it goes. Just means typically you're not totally up a creek... if it's got high mileage it could be the counter balancer, 1st gen tacos and 3rd gen 4runners in...

And, yeah 99% of the time most guys just replace the complete cv, usually after the boots have torn **** makes it's way inside ruining the axle. That's why there's no youtube video on rebuilding them.

Haha, yeah I know all about it... if you're replacing cv's cause of the lift and you don't plan on doin a diff drop get high angle boots cause you'll tear oem style again, and sooner than later. You might wanna consider doing uca's too, after doing mine I noticed a difference in the angle the...

Like 858_tacoma_guy I usually only wave if I see a mod/built taco. Tacomas in all gens are everywhere! The jeepers I know are pretty much the same.

If you're not partial to any brands of products I recommend purple slice, no I don't work for them... been using their stuff for years on my motorcycles. Its not the cheapest stuff out there, but top shelf **** never is!
