@tacojoel
Next time you order, I suggest to check NAPA. I've found they have the parts and shipping is often no charge. Many times the parts are less expensive.
I got both CV axles from NAPA for $180, free shipping, delivered in 3 days. Brake rotors, caliper, pads and tie rods about 2 weeks...
ROFLMAO.............. Umm, the rivers are already heavily polluted with chemical run-off. Fertlizers, herbicides, fungicides, dissolved chemicals, street run-off (motor oil, anti-freeze, tire rubber....)
Don't be so naive.
Your truck will continue to run without the damper. Alhough, you'll need to be careful opening the glove box to avoid spilling the contents due to the abrupt opening of the box.
Force is always an answer to a problem. Although, force may not be the best answer to the problem.
For most people it is a tool-less job. The most difficult part is re-installing the glove box door damper.
I curious. Just what did you think the Treatment plants did to dispose of the solids which were separated from the effluent?
Many times the dried solids are sold to fertilizer manufacturers.
The Treatment plant can't store the generous volume, nor can it be burned.
Not even close.
Buy an aftermarket like a WIX and the filter cost is about $10. Although, you will need to replace it yourself. Most folks with a bit of mechanical aptitude can do the task in about 5-10 minutes, depending how big the glove box collection.
You dufus. Every city does that when heavy storms overflow the waste water treatment plant. No news.
Not only that, but run off from many nasty sources, Livestock yards, septic tanks, underground tanks are only a few......
@tacojoel
I can only offer a guess. The engine block is a large mass of metal, it takes a while to reach a stable temperature. You may be seeing the Thermostat opening and closing. Consider. When driving the engine speed is up, also driving the coolant pump, moving large amounts of...
@TexasBigBlue Suggest you ask your son what he wants to do about the tires. Afterall, it will be his truck. Ask if he'd pony up half the cost of whatever tire he wants on the truck.
I certainly wouldn't drive it.
You could rent a Penske truck with a car hauler. Put the Tacoma on the...
Expect less. As the tire loses tread, the outside diameter shrinks, so does the tire circumference. So, the tire will need to make a few more revolutions per mile. Accelerating the wear.
The tires have already consumed about 11/32". They began at 18/32".

To my knowledge those are not 100 Kmile tires. More likely 60-70 Kmile. If you want a long-distance tire, then look to Michelin Defenders. Not cheap but will run many many many miles.
Those Falken WP are using 1/32" of tread about every 3800 miles. Tread wear bars surface at 2/32"...
Not so sure it all goes away.
The Blues have been hounding Orangeman for more than 8 years. Remember, they began shouting "IMPEACH 46" before he took the oath of office.
So, I'm curious.
Say he wins, but the Judge sentences him to time at the iron bar hotel. Who would be Commander in Chief???
Oh and the Blue people would go ballistic before the end of November 2024. They did last time. Don't suspect they'll behave any different.
In short, we are FUBAR'd...
Are you sure the 3.4L V-6 engine? I thought the Gem2 V-6 engine was only available in a 4.0L
Agree with tacojoel, the asking price seems a bit high. I bought my 2006 Access Cab with the 4.0L, 4WD and 105,xxx miles in 2020 for $15,300 from a dealer.
Good Luck with your sale.
