    Getting started on my 2012

Get a pair of SPC upper control arms. Then alignment and add a little caster. I run 285/65X18 on my 2015 double cab 4x4 with 3" Toytec lift.

    I have 18" wheels and 33" tires. But I also have a 3" lift.

    Deal or no deal?

If you drive and like it I would make a reasonable offer of $20K and make sure you point out all the shortcomings (dings, scratches, high miles, not the color you wanted, etc). Also explain you have a tight budget so you are firm on price and you know where another truck is for that price that...

    Warming up the engine.

I'm in central california so hot summers and mild winters. Like I said before, I let the idle come down, I guess about 1 minute in summer and maybe 2 minutes in winter. No need for long warm-ups as no snow or freezing temps here.

    Warming up the engine.

I wait until I see the idle come down a bit. Like at least 30 seconds or more. Probably like a full minute.

    2012 OEM radio change

I like my 2015 with nav but I don't like when the sun reflects on the screen. Wish Toyota would have looked at Lexus and installed the radio like the Lexus RX350. It is sunken a few inches so no reflections ever.

    New to Lifting

Buy a complete kit and include upper control arms for alignment and clearance. There are lots of choices. I went with the Toytec Boss kit with SPC upper arms. 33" tires on 18" wheels. Carrier bearing drop kit. My lift is 3" and don't go more as that is pretty much max. The get alignment, add a...

    Another Lift question

I would not recommend a spacer lift. But yes, aftermarket UCA will help from rubbing factory UCA and alignment.

    Alignment.

With one wheel toe-in and the opposite wheel toe-out, that's going to cause issues. Not sure what your suspension and lift is. I went with SPC uca's and have a 3" lift (Toytec) and had my caster increased which helped keeping the truck from wandering a little.

06 Tacoma with 3in lift scrubbing with 285/75-17

What are you rubbing against? What kind of lift? What year truck? Need a lot more info.

    New to the truck game.

if you do a 2" leveling kit you will need to remove some plastic pieces and with 33" tires you will have some rubbing. Depending on offset, you could have rubbing on upper control arms. I don't like spacer leveling kits if that is what you plan on. I have a Toytec 3" lift with SPC upper arms and...

    Lift on 2015 tacoma

If you are going to lift, don't use a spacer lift, been there and ended up replacing with a full suspension lift kit from Toytec including SPC upper control arms. Many will chime in here with lots of info for you. All kinds of lift kits available. My truck is a 2015 double cab, v6, 4x4, auto...
