That sucks, why not find a junk yard motor? A running Tacoma will be way more valuable than non-running.

Have this problem with my 2015 4x4 and just got use to it. I have oversized all terrain tires and no way to get balance perfect. But it's so slight it doesn't bother me. I also had this problem in a compact car and it ended up being wheels. Bought new wheels and it went away. No shop could tell...

I'm with you on being worried about damage. If you want to get serious about rock crawling etc, buy an old Tacoma that you don't care if it gets damaged. Keep your nice one for everyday use. I take mine into 4 wheel areas but I am very careful and stay out of sticky situations.

Could be springs or shocks.

U-joints possibly?

Have you been under the truck to inspect all suspension, bolts, loose items like exhaust hanger etc? You hear the rattles from rear or front? 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive? All lug nuts tight? Re-torque suspension bolts especially since recent replacement. Good luck....

Take it to a tire shop that does wheel alignments. They usually don't charge to check it.

My 2015 4X4 V6 double cab also makes this noise on start-up until totally warm. Toyota said this is an air box noise and totally normal. Been like that since new when I purchased it.

once the clear is gone, you can't do anything as the base coat will not shine without the clear.

So warranty extension means let the rust go until discovered and then do repairs as needed? Why not try to prevent it before it happens?

Nitto Terra Grappler II are good and price isn't bad. I've run them on my 2015 double cab 4X4 for a few years and they are great on and off road. Check them out.
