I was issued a company RAV4 a few years back so my Tacoma is now my vacation/adventure/pleasure /chores vehicle. Same category as my 2 Sunbeam Alpines. Just fun. Love the thing.
Just for the record I’m not opposed to letting the dealer do it. It’s not a case of saving a few dollars. My issue is the shell seals so well (and there are no leaks) I’m afraid if they break the seal, I’ll get leaks in the bed.
As of this moment I am not showing any leaks in the cab.
Anyone know what needs to be done for this? Local dealer has been calling me to get my ‘17 in for possible leakage and light needs to be removed and resealed under warranty. Writer told me I’d have to remove my shell or they’d charge $130 an hour to remove and reinstall it.
I ordered mine and was given a serial number to give my credit union. Truck showed up as requested but serial number was not what I sent in to the C/U. C/U told me that wasn’t an issue and it happened all the time with cars and light trucks.
Which was weird for me as with the trucks I order...
