Yeah, I do the same with my truck, except I know it's locked when I see the parking lights blink...and thats whats weird when you say your lights still blink when you press your key button. This tech friend ask if they still do...says thats very common of a bcm failure if they NO longer do.

Idk, my 2020 is still giving one beep when the the truck is locked, and two when unlocking. I've been able to disable or desensitize all the stupid nanny crap so I don't keep hearing all the beeping, and dinging when in traffic, or traveling on the roads here. I never checked too deep into...

I recently replaced a 12 year old original battery in the wife's 2012 prius with a deka agm. So far so good.

Heck I had over 290k miles on my 2001 tundra with the original alternator when I sold the truck, and it was still fine....can't say much for some other sections of the truck though.

Heat is the number one issue that kills these batteries. Here in new england batteries can last 10 years. The original battery in my tacoma is 5 1/2 years old if you go by the trucks date of manufacture.

Thats not normal at all. You can try a complete atf flush to see if it resolves this, or it just may need a new/rebuilt transmission. The automatic transmission in my 2020 tacoma is buttery smooth...doesn't exhibit any of what you claim. Btw, you didn't claim the trucks mileage. I don't care...

Some of those over the counter ceramic sprays can last nearly a year, but their nothing like real paint protection from a ceramic coating thats applied by a professional detailer.
