The ‘16 I had did that exact thing big time. My brother thought I was screwing around one day I was backing into his driveway. Took it back had the transmission TSB done and it still did it. Lots of issues with that one. Traded it for a ‘17 and had the same feeling in that one too. They both did...
To keep the rake you’ll most likely need 2” lift in the rear. 3 in the front and 1 in the rear tends to have some brow lean. Like KP said, all trucks are different so you might only need 1” and nothing for shims or carrier bearing drop kit.
I thought a bumper to bumper for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles covered everything and there should be no questions asked. Do you have a different dealership you can deal with in the future? I wouldn’t cancel the extended warranty with all the issues
3rd gens seem to still be having. I’d call...
If the truck is a V6, you really don’t need to worry about changing gears for 32-33” tires. It depends on the kind of lift you get on whether you’ll need new UCAs. Generally Tacos perform just as well with 33s as stock because there isn’t a huge difference in the tire ratio. Normally it isn’t...
I have a 10 Prerunner with 4” spindle lift and 285/70/17 with 17x9 rims. They have a backspacing of 4.75 and offset of -6. I had to trim just a little bit of the fender flares underneath. You can’t tell they have been trimmed by just looking at it. You should be able to clear 35s with 6” lift. I...
Replaced the front wheel bearing assemblies. Had a hum start last week, so I jacked the truck up and spun the wheels. The passenger side was grinding pretty bad. Figured gotta replace 1 side I might as well do the other.
I have a 2010 Prerunner with a 4” spindle lift and running 285/70/17. I had to do a small amount of plastic trimming to stop it from rubbing at full lock in reverse on an incline. You could run 295s on it but I’d do 6” to keep a decent space between the fenders and tires. That’s just my opinion...
