The BS Thread To Rule Them All!!!

Thats with my stock tacoma unloaded. My v8 tundra didn't care whether towing 2.5k lbs, or not...it still got 14 mpg highway. The tacoma will drop to as much as 16 mpg with the same load. That 4.7 tundra v8 put out far better torque numbers opposed to the tacoma's 3.5 v6.

    2nd generation Tacoma reliability

Depends on the size of leak itself whether it turns into a fatal one, or just continues to weep.

What did you do with your Taco today

Gave my taco's undercarriage a good rinse, and cosmoline touchup today with a 10 minute much needed tonneau cover treatment with some wolfsteins. Winter is no more.

Yes, but you don't need to worry when you'll be to be hoofing it, which usually happens at the worst possible time. With these newer tacos, and all the nanny stuff your insurance, and fuel costs will go down. At least mine did after I owned that gen1 gas guzzling tundra, plus insurance...

Yeah, while at it, see if there's a special for a cat scan. I have to take one every 2 years along with an ekg.

Yep, its likey why I drive a newer truck while you're still stuck with those old clunkers. Even your buddy John boy has more sense to upgrade.

Are you not forgetting every drop of fuel that truck burnt, not to mention all other repair expenses in replaced parts, or the expenses to use it like tax's, registration, insurances you obviously won't account for.....WOOPS

it is not safe to fly...

Probably too busy just landing the plane in bad weather conditions. Its up to the air controllers to properly direct, when, and where a plane that size can safely land.

it is not safe to fly...

Yeah, I'm sure the pilot is at fault landing a commercial passenger jet as such on a foggy rainy runway at over 100 mph at night while a firetruck is traveling right in his path at the same time....give me a break!

it is not safe to fly...

The air traffic controller already admitted they messed up, not only that the weather could have played a big part. Lets wait till all the facts come out.

The BS Thread To Rule Them All!!!

My tundra was a gas hog with several major issues needing attention at close to 300k miles. I had already dumped well over a couple thou in maintenance over the 19 years having it. At the time I sold it the truck it needed as much as it was worth. There comes a time you gotta cut your loss's...

The BS Thread To Rule Them All!!!

Idk, I've been very happy the last 6 years with the reliability on my gen3, plus if I ever sold it, its resale is worth way more than you'll get on those old gen1's, unless you find someone dumb enough with deep pockets. Imo, it makes no sense spending the amount of money that those tw gen1 guys...
