The vent thing is just an easy way to check. I know it sounds weird but sometimes it works. Even if the vents work however, it may just mean that it hasn’t leaked much fluid.

Sounds like an actuator is not engaging fully. Does it speed up and slow down with your speed? Also can you still change your AC/Heat setting from floor, dash, combo, and defrost? It may sound weird but if there is no change in the vents it is likely that fluid leaked in to the vacuum system.

It’s the plug. Look for the burnt connector
