Recently got a bone stock 2002 v6 4WD TRD Off Road. Really excited to be a tacoma owner, Ive been wanting one of these for a long time now and plan to do a lot to it.

I feel like companies like that dont really care for your vehicle, they got to get so many done as fast as possible, thats all they do, im sure they’re bound to rush it half the time without paying attention to detail. but thats just me, ive read bad reviews for the one...

Thinking about color matching just my handles, fenders, and possibly also the side view mirrors on my 02 double cab i just got. I dont really care for the side view mirrors if theyre black or white but am curious to see what that would look like. If someone has a picture of all those color...

Only thing about the first gen’s just make sure theres no frame rust. There was a recall for those, they just reinforce the frame with some kind if coat at the dealership I heard. As far as other gens i think some 2nd gens had manual transmission problems. But tacomas are the most solid mid...

Obviously anyone would recommend for you to get a 4WD, but do you want it to be 4 doors? Or extended cab? Manual or automatic? V6 or 4 cyl? (Probably best to get V6)

1st gen years 2001-2004. Those still go for about $7000-$15000 depending on condition, mileage, and if its TRD or not, 4WD or not. You’ll see an 04 quad cab 4WD TRD with 250k miles in great condition go for like $10,000 still.

Overall build quality a Tacoma for sure. But if it gets banged up too much it’ll lose it’s value. What year truck were you planning on getting?

Found a 2002 TRD 4 dr 4WD with 180,000 miles. Dude had it up for $12500 and talked him down to $9500.

Better to abuse a pickup than a tacoma. Either will be fine if theyre 4WD
