Yeah I have a similar issue now with my tonneau clamp on the driver's side. I can get it on/off...but it's kind of a PITA. I'll think of a fix eventually, but for now, I'm calling an "anti-theft" feature...[emoji854]

Welcome. Still new to the taco, so I'm not exactly sure the location/complexity of it but I replaced the one on my BMW and was very simple plug and play. It's fairly simple tech, so I can't imagine it would be too hard to replace on your truck. I'll leave it to the experts to chime in.
