I ended up hooking them up to a momentary switch that I installed behind the tailgate right above the latch. So now they come on when I open the tailgate and go off when I close it.
I was thinking about those but they only go on one side. I found a thread on another forum where someone installed a door pin switch that makes them come on when you lower the tailgate and turns off when you close it.
I have a 2016 SR5 and was wanting to install under rail bed lights. I'd like to wire it into the existing bed light switch to come on when the one on the rear of the cab comes on. Is this possible?
I've noticed that the paint on my '16 Taco is very easy to scratch. Is there anything to put on it that hardens the paint? I have waxed it a few times but it seems like I've seen on here somewhere something about a wax or treatment.
What's the chances they will completely replace the hood? Same issue with the adhesive. Mine has a small chip in the paint so if they replace the hood to take care of the problem I would be killing 2 birds with one stone.
Just had mine checked this morning. All was good. Just am FYI, they told me that the engine had to completely cool before they could check it. Therefore I was going to have to wait for at least 3 hours. Luckily they provided me with a rental car until mine was finished.
Just put a Flowmaster 50 Delta on my '16 V-6. Love the sound of it. Once you hit 60-70 mph the sound basically disappears. It was a little loud at first but after about 100 miles it sounds terrific.
I called the dealership and asked about a remote start. I was told that Toyota doesn't offer one for the '16s yet. Any suggestions? Don't really want to have an extra fob. I dont have the push button start if that makes a difference.
