I am looking to maybe add a small led light inside the hood scoop. Has anyone on the forum done anything with the hood scoops?? Curious to any other ideas or possibilities out there involving it. Thanks guys/gals.

3rd gen. Gets my vote! However I own a 92(Truck), 97 Taco, 08 Taco, and a 17 Taco. Each year had major pluses and possibly a minus or so but I enjoy the luxury and options in the 3rd’s. It’s still the run forever tacoma but with better interior.

I'm with ORD17TRD on the MPG's.. 250-300 ,miles per tank. I do drive with three inches of lift and 285/70/17 tires.

I put a three inch leveling kit and Cooper Discover AT3 285/70/17 for under a $1,000. If cheaper is what you want. The ride is still very good, and have slight rubbing when turning hard with the bigger tires. This is what us truck owners without unlimited $ do. LOL

I agree!! I bought gen3 in March and have almost 15,000 miles. Had zero issues and I use my truck from interstate driving to city roads to some minor 4x4 every week. Transmission is a little "key word little" picky at changing at times but it's not expected to be the "perfect" truck.
