2005 Tacoma rust

Sup guys, I've had a Tacoma since I was 15 started out with a 2000 double cab. I'm 20 now and just bought my first car for myself and of course I got a Tacoma. I got a 2005 black double cab 4x4, I was wondering what is the deal with the rust recall for the frames? My frame has some rust on it but nothing major, I feel like it can be handled with some sanding and painting but will Toyota do that for me or is it something I should do myself? Thanks in advance
 
No, my 2000 barely had any rust. But I did have the frame painted in 2009. But it was also never around the coast or in a place where it snows a lot. And I did very little off-roading in it.
