20132.7 recall

I've been reading on TW about a recall for some 2013 2.7 fours because of bad valve springs. Just bought my Tacoma at the end of August, so I was afraid my truck would be included. Sure enough, I got a recall letter today. Too bad it wasn't a letter from Publisher's Clearing House.

I was wondering that also so I looked it up and according to pickuptruck.com they just inspect the springs and if they see any signs of pitting they will just replace the spring.

But you would think it would be easier for them to go ahead and replace the head

Just get it fixed and be happy it is not out of warranty

Don't know where pickup truck.com got their info about inspecting for pitting, but the recall letter says they will replace all valve springs.

I've had my truck 3 months today. After 6 weeks we had a severe thunderstorm that blew a tree over on it which required a trip to the body shop. Yesterday I received the recall letter about the valve spring replacement. I just hope this isn't some sort of omen.
