2016 Tacoma rear view mirror

Hello,
I am new to the forum,and I need your help. I just bought a 2016 Tacoma Trd Sport,but it didn't come with a rear view mirror with the function to open my garage door. It does have a compass..Is the rear view mirror a;ready hardwired to install a mirror with the garage door opener feature? It's a 12 pin connector.Thanks in advance.

Yes 12 pin.. You can get them cheap on eBay easy instal plug and play.. I got my instal and work good!!

That's what I don't get. They do a redesign and add a couple of features but take away the ones that are used everyday. Just like the oh s**t handle on the driver side.
