2016 TRD Taco on the highway

At seventy mph what is the rpm . . . whats the Tacoma like on the highway as well as a daily driver

Welcome to the forum.
I stay about 1600-1900 RPM at a consistent 65-70 mph. But with any strain it kicks up when the tranny downshifts (as with any vehicle).
There’s many threads about the RPM and shift patterns of the gen three Tacoma.....
As a daily driver it does well. It’s actually a pretty comfortable vehicle, especially compared to the previous Tacoma generations. I’ve always drove trucks though so it may be different for you.

I use my '17 TRDOR as a daily driver......wouldn't have it any other way! Comfortable.....has enuf power for my needs.....on accelerating from a stop the Taco likes the RPM band......likes the RPMs when passing another vehicle too. Put your foot into it......don't baby it!

Drive it like you stole it!!!!!!

I will say that the leaf spring rear suspension can be a little bouncy over highway expansion joints. I took my 2010 (not much has changed) on multiple 6-7 hour drives. It's neither comfortable nor uncomfortable. However my lower back does bother a bit when I get out.

The lumbar support crank works well for me......had the same issue but that solved it........cranked 'er up!

Right on. I think if I lost 20 pounds and maybe went to the gym more often it might improve stamina and comfort on long drives. If I was 40 years younger it might help with the stiffness.

I turn my heaterd seat on for those drives.

However, before i do any of that, I'm going to try the seat heater. Thanks

Mine is a daily driver..... we also just got back from a 1200 mile trip (KY to DC) and it did great at 80(±5)mph through the Appalachians. I suppose that it would be fair to mention that for the last 5 yrs, our road trip vehicle was a 12' Wrangler on 35 inch MT's, so pretty much anything would be an improvement!!!
