3rd gear cruise control

Has anybody noticed that the Tacoma (17 Sport) only goes into cruise control in 4th or 5th gear and not 3rd gear?

The manual says, "Resuming is available when the vehicle speed is more than approximately 25 mph (40 km/h)." Nothing about 3rd gear.
 
I’ve set cruise control at 40mph I don’t know to many situations where I would try to use it slower than that. I’m not sure about the gear vs the speed. Did you try to put it in S mode 3rd gear 30mph and hit cruise? I don’t know if cruise will even engage in S mode. :oops:
