Bed rail plastic

That sounds like a decent idea
Are yours looking faded and weathered?
They do get nasty hot to touch in the hot summer sun. that is for sure!

The gen1 I had line-x over the rail applied, not nearly as hot as plastic lol
3years into it now and no issues popped up yet on the rails
