Bed Storge compartments ?????

All I am a new Tacoma owner. I was wondering if the make a part or something different so the holes on the beds storage compartments won’t leak. I want to put my tie down straps in one of them but it looks like it gets wet for the tab holes for the cover....

Thoughts????

Had this before but got rid of it because I never used it.

There are ways to seal it. Someone has done a write up on it somewhere. Welcome to the forum.
 
It’s the three tabs that are on the bottom of the covers. The holes that they go in are open and water splashes I them. Is that fixable???
 

I never got water in it. There's a seal on the lid and there are no over holes in the box. Maybe you can get water in it if you submerge it but then you will have other problems at that point.
 
There's a guy in Australia that sealed his with appoxy. He put tubing over the tab holes and appoxied those as well to make it a water tight seal from the bottom. Then he found some thin weather stripping and sealed the doors. Spent $20 bucks. That's what I'm going to do.
