Bigger brake caliper in TRD sports

Is it true that the TRD sport model Tacomas have bigger brake calipers? They TRD sports come with 17 in rims. Probes is I wanna put 16 in wheels on my taco but I'm worried that it won't fit. Any tips?

I've never heard of a difference in the brake caliper size in different models, not sure why there would be one either, all of the Tacoma packages have the power and engine specs depending on the motor, my comment is its your truck and money, I run 16's but it's up to you on what size you go...

I've read on many forums that people have brake caliper problems on the TRD sport models. Because they come stock with a bigger wheel. In thinking of playing it safe and sticking to 17's

Just see if the calipers and rotors for both vehicles use the same part number. It's not just the caliper, the TRD could use the same caliper on a bigger rotor and still give you problems.
