Makes me question 1 thing... What if magna made the trd exhaust?I’m sure this has been discussed a million times! So one more won’t hurt!
TRD catback or magnaflow catback?
My truck is a 2018 Tacoma Limited
Thanks for your opinion.

At least on my 2018, there is no straight section of pipe after the muffler to clamp an aftermarket muffler on to. I guess if you could get an aftermarket tailpipe it would be workable.Makes me question 1 thing... What if magna made the trd exhaust?
Ok, 2 things
Why not just a muffler and save alot of money?

The pipe is thick enoug to weld, but the snout on the muffler is usually to thin to butt weld, unless you go with a Flowmaster. Butt welds would still be weak in such a situation. A new tail pipe would have a longer snout to allow a slip fit. So far, no one lists a replacement tail pipe for my truck.
Truedat, my buddy pays his bills off that income and bedliner sprayingPeople weld in mufflers on the daily.
Welcome!
I felt the same for yrs.... Then I got tired of drone when driving more than 20min on the highway. Plus it's more fun to #sleepMbrp, just installed it today, sounds beautiful, it is loud, but why have a quiet truck. I have the k&n CAI, can’t beat the price of the mbrp, took me 30 minutes to take the stock exhaust off by myself, and 30 minutes to install the new one with a friends help.

Back when the truck was new and weak, I wanted it to sound impressive.... Now, I realize no need for drone.
Trues, I'm running a borla and giant magnaflow. Quiet as hell, yet def outflows stock. It would be interesting to tap into the exhaust in front of the muffler to hook up a manometer to measure the pressure in the stock exhaust system. Just because an exhaust is quiet doesn't necessarily mean that the flow rate is low. Look at Supertrapp mufflers for instance.
