Hey I’m tryna put new tires onto my truck at Costco, I currently have 285/75/16 but they were worn out when I got them so didn’t rub. I have a 2 inch lift leaf kit so I was wondering if anyone else has done this. They said that if it rubs they’re gonna take they’ll take them off but I wanted to make sure they won’t, so I don’t feel like I’m dropping 1300 for just tires.

Lift does not increase tire clearance when the tire is turned to the steering stop. Think horizontal clearance. Lift is vertical clearance. Remember, front tires move in 2 directions, vertical and rotate around a vertical axis (turning)
You have several options. New rims with a different offset. Trim and hack on the parts being rubbed. Go back to OEM sizes on wheels & tires.

FWIW, Its not a Costco problem. You have run up against their corporate policy. This is a common policy no matter the business.
