Dirty looks at off road park

I took my 07 Tacoma (mostly stock) to an off-road park this past weekend to stretch the legs a bit and crawl around in 4 low. The park I went to allowed full-size vehicles and everything in between.

The trails weren’t marked and it was a ‘drive at your own risk’ kind of deal on 300 acres of land.

I had a blast crawling around the terrain but I noticed people staring at me and caught a few dirty looks from guys in side by sides and 4-wheelers. I didn’t see any other full-size vehicles there. It seemed most the trails were fairly narrow for side by sides but I was able squeeze through a lot of them.

I’m not sure if was breaking some kind of trail etiquette or what. Has anyone experienced this?

You said the park allowed full sized vehicles. If you followed the rules of the park then they have nothing to say. You paid your fee to ride like them.

Yeah, they allow full size 4x4s and I actually paid more since they charge the most for full-size vehicles.

I took my truck to a rock crawling park, it was a month old and received a couple body scars. Won't do that again

I am headed to Land Between the Lakes this weekend and don't want to scratch up my one month old truck. I am taking a pole saw to cut the trees hanging down on the entrance to my campsite, then I can go exploring.

We rode the Harleys there about 6 years ago. It's a blast! 318 turns in 11 miles......just awsum!
