DIY Grille

Has anyone done a DIY grill before? What did you use and how did I do it?

I added a grillcraft grill to my truck. I guess it's DIY since you have to cut to add it.

I'm looking for something like the sagatoshi grill but I know the person that makes them could take some time.

Where did u get the grill from

I made it out of a 2x4 sheet of the mesh stuff. I cutout my OEM grille.

Did u use the thread that was on TW to do it? I just have to try finding the mesh

Nope. I made a template of the OEM grille while it was still on the truck then I cut out the mesh and bent it to the shape of the template.

Ahh okay. Seems simple enough

It was. Whenever you cut the metal, put the template on there, then cut an inch around it and use a sharpie to mark the lines.

Okay cool. Anywhere specific u got the mesh at. I've been to homedepot and they didn't have much

That's actually funny. I went to Lowes one day to look at what they had, and they didn't have much so I bought the one sheet that I thought would be best. Later that day when I went to my friends house, his dads friend comes and I look in the back of his truck and saw a better looking mesh. I asked him if he was using it and he said he was actually about to throw it away after he left. So I got lucky there.

I have have seen a couple ways people attach there "sagatoshi" style grill. What have others done and what works best?

I just drilled a hole through some of the grille shell plastics that isn't seen and got a piece of wire and secured the piece to the shell
