Fender cutting

Ok so I am looking at going up to a 285 and I know I will not make clearance, so has anyone on here trimmed their wheel wells? I would like to retain my fender skirts to keep the mud and water out. Pics please if you have them. Thanks.

You will need wheel spacers or new wheels with -12 off set and it might go down the road until you need to turn or hit a bump then you'll find out where it rubs and where you'll need to cut. Personally I'd lift it a few inches if you want to put 285/75/16 on it. Good luck. If you do it let us know how it goes.
