Gas millage

Hard to say. What are you getting for millage?

Depends on how your truck is equipped. Its loading. Tires. Driving habits.

Your best fuel mileage can be obtained using some driving sense.
Stock tires.
Tire pressure.
Easy right foot.
Not hauling extra weight.
Anticipating stop lights/stops signs to coast before.
Engine maintenance.
Speeds below 70 mph
No lift.

My 4.0L V-6 consistently gives me 20-21 mpg at 70 mph. I don't bother checking in town, too many variables.

I'm getting 22 mpg and change in warm weather. Its below freezing temps currently, my fuel economy has dropped to around 19. Truck is an sr5 access cab 4x4 all stock. Been told they get better fuel mileage being lighter than those double cabs.

The other thing people forget in this time of year that impacts fuel mileage.

Warm up idling. DON'T.

Start the engine, let the oil pressure come up, place into gear, drive off. No need to race the engine or WOT nonsense. Just drive easy for a mile or so. The truck will warm up in less time while its being used. Sitting in the driveway burning fuel is not beneficial.

tacojoel brings up a good point. Weight. It takes fuel to produce the power for hauling weight. So, remove any extra weight from doodads that you are hauling for bro points.

I have a chitload of gear cramed in the back of my cab i carry around that i'm too lazy to remove once winter is done that would likely help my fuel economy. I tried removing the air dam on the front of my truck, and lost nearly 1 mpg with more wind noise, but its easier to do an oil change with that thing out of the way. Overall imo, anything over 20 mpg is decent for a 4wd truck that weighs over 2 tons.

Normal day to day driving in warm weather I get 22 on my SR5 double cab 2wd. On longer trips Ive seen 24/25. Colder weather I get 20.

2018 SR5 V6 4x4. Factory 2018 Sport wheels and tires.

About 90% of my driving is highway. Doing 80 to 85 MPH I average 19.5 MPG.

If I drive 70 MPH I get significantly better mileage...around 21 MPG.
