I just picked up a 2006 Tacoma SR5 access door 6cyl today. It has the factory stereo with CD and JBL. I want to replace it with a 9" screen unit with Android Auto, USB, Bluetooth, yada yada yada. I'm seeing a hitch in this, what I thought would be an easy upgrade, but, due to the JBL option I currently have in the factory unit. I need recommendations for a solid replacement that takes the JBL output into it. Amazon mostly shows units w/o JBL cabling and refers to harnesses that fit 2012 and above. What has anyone done to get a solid stereo unit that is up to date with features that's a good fit? My GT has SeriusXM, and USB gets my music from my phone using Android Auto. I need my tunes! lol
Update: I should have used the carpenters rule before I posted, measure twice cut once. I should have looked twice and posted once. In this case I could have sworn that my stereo unit had the JBL emblem on it but it was the CD emblem instead! Duh! I do still need a good stereo repalcement with current features and a 9" screen for Android Auto that can use Waze and maybe SeriusXM as well? I'm being redundent now, I already staed that. I'm sure many of you have replaced the stock units with bigger and better ones. This feedback I want to know! Thanks in advance. New Tacoma owner.
