Help installing OEM mud flaps

With the OEM mud flaps there is one extra provided screw for each mud flap. There is a plastic plug in the hole where these extra screws are to be inserted. How do I remove these plugs? Thanks!

It's very easy. Grab a small thin blade screwdriver. When you look at the plug look for a break where you can pry up the middle. It will pop up and you can pull the whole thing out. If you open your hood you'll see the same kind of plug holding the radiator cover on.

No ... they are NOT the same as those on the radiator cover. I removed the one in the front driver wheel well and all that was left was a square hole. So then I could not put the extra screw (bolt) into the hole. The extra screw (bolt) for each of the mud flaps installs directly INTO the plastic plug. I had to go to the dealer to get a new plastic plug to put into the hole. Glad I only removed one of them.

I hate mudflaps, it makes my truck look weird.

I guess that's why the bolt on so you can install or remove to suit your taste. I don't think the make the truck look weird. I prefer to have my truck protected from mud, rock chips, etc.

My bad. I was going off memory from when I removed mine. I think I had 3 screws and like 4 plugs. I think I misread what you were saying. For that I apologize
