I have a 2004 Tacoma and intend to have it for a good while yet. Previous Toyotas, in chronological order (kind of, not certain of some years, too lazy to look them up):

1972 Corona
1987 Pickup (best vehicle I ever had)
Finally the 2004
Only the 2004 was fuel injected. All standard transmission. All 4 cylinder. I love the R series engines. I liked tuning the old ones up myself, adjust valves, etc.
I'm not too much on doing my own maintenance, but I've retired and may try some stuff again.
I'm going to have a good local repair service do some things on the 2044 and have it for a while. I will be asking about that on the general forum.
