**How to check cooling fan**

Hello. How do I check the engine cooling fan on 02 Tacoma 2.4 engine?
Tell me if I've got this right>>>

When the engine is cold, I should be able to spin the fan freely because the engine doesn't need to be cooled down yet.

With the engine hot, there should be some resistance spinning the fan by hand.
Your info is appreciated!!

Pretty much how you said is how you check it. The fan should not freewheel when cold and it shouldn't turn much when hot.
