OK, videos I see on installing the tweeters indicate it is necessary to remove the door rubber gasket and the vertical plastic lining next to the speaker grille.

But Crutchfeld doesn't show that. They say to simply remove the grille only.

You need to remove the A pillars plastic cover. Disconnect the battery first. It’s got an air bag in it you don’t want to pop off.

But that means I have to remove the gasket along the door, right?

Please stay close by. You should monitor this sight 24/7 all weekend... Unless I kayak tomorrow.

I must have posted my results on a different thread.

Bottom line is that I installed the tweeters today. Great sound. Very happy.

It wasn't necessary to remove the A pillar plastic cover. The final fit was actually easier on the passenger side where I didn't touch that pillar.

4 more to go tomorrow.
