Levelling kit/tire question?

So I just put a deposit down on a 2018 Tacoma Off Road. I asked the dealership if they would do a 3 inch levelling kit in front, and 1 inch in back, which they said they would for $600.

My question is will 285/75r/16 fit with that levelling kit and stock rims?

Or I thought I read with that tire I may need an aftermarket rim, in which case which tire could I use to keep the same stock rims for now?

Thanks :)

Also I'm assuming all the truck specs will be the same as the 2017, but who knows.

Congrats on the deposit. Cant wait to see it.

The lift is enough to fit the height but the width of 285 is to wide on a stock wheel.
265/75/16 is the biggest without a lower offset wheel or wheel spacers. I wouldn't get wheel spacers.

So would you go with getting different rims (I was thinking a pro comp 51 gloss black), or just get the smaller tire?

And thanks I'm pretty excited (not about the price tag though haha)

Yeah the price is tough to swallow but it's a great truck. You'll love it.
I'd personally get the 285/75/16 with a 0 or -6 offset in the rim you want. It will look good with the lift.

I skipped the lift and just put on some duratracs in 265 75 16 on stock wheels and am very happy gained almost a half inch of ground clearance my wheel wells look full and no rubbing

Well they said they would do a Bilstein 3 inch for 3k but that's a little rich for my blood already paying close to 50k for the truck -_-
That's way to much for some Billy's. You can get bilstein 5100's and an AAL in the back for around $800.

Without a lift they look good that way. Looks funny with that size tire and a 3" lift. IMO.

I'm just trying to keep the warranty that's my main concern. $600 for levelling kit compared to $3000 for a lift seemed like a steal in my mind lol.

Common misconception for modding...your warranty is fine for most all bolt on mods. The dealer can only deny fixing something that was caused by your modification and they have to prove it.

So I'm wondering if I should just say screw the dealer and go to a real 4x4 shop then? I've been told I should go with coil overs (whatever the hell that is?!? lol)

Id make sure it's the revtek 40013 pro kit. No spacer kit is ideal but revtek is the best on the gen3 off road if you are going that route.
Your warranty won't be void by putting a lift on. It will just void anything that is caused by the lift. Like for me the front drivers side needle bearing went out and the front diff required replacement and if I would have put a lift on that wasn't done and backed by the dealer I would have been stuck with the $4000 bill. They would have said my king or old man emu kit did it.

Did that green Toyo emblem come on the truck or where did you get it? That’s awesome
