Well I have the o6 and went with a 285/70/17 and I had to cut and weld a plate at the rear add wheel adapters and cut a little plastic so if you don't want to modify gotta be smaller than a 285 Wich is a 32" tire correct me if I'm wrong..no problems with the back tho.I have a 2008 Tacoma Pre-runner Sr5 V6. What is the max size tire I could run with a 3” rough country lift I’m getting here in a month?? View attachment 21939
+1Go with 5100s at least. Junk Country is a crap lift.
285/70/17 is 32.7x11.2” it’s almost a 33x11.5. Either way you’re right it’s going to rub without modification.Well I have the o6 and went with a 285/70/17 and I had to cut and weld a plate at the rear add wheel adapters and cut a little plastic so if you don't want to modify gotta be smaller than a 285 Wich is a 32" tire correct me if I'm wrong..no problems with the back tho.

What’s your thoughts? You like it? Would you do it again or do something different? Just curious. Also got the 3" rough country lift btw got it installed at the alignment shop 2 birds one stone
It's good ride is a little stiff but it will do untill you get your hands on a set of icon shocks or king shocks to eat up the speed bumps at the mall lol or dirt roads etc it's a good option for the ones with bills and kidsWhat’s your thoughts? I did the revtek pro 40013 it’s an in-coil spacer up front and and AAL in back. I had the bilstein 4600’s on the 2017 off road. It made the ride worse but gave me the lift to add the tires I wanted. It did ok off-road but did limited my up travel. If I was going to do it again I’d at least get the 5100’s and an AAL in back. It would have been about $200 more and would have been a much better ride for DD. Just use your head for now, the last thing you wanna do is bottom out the front end in anyway. Your sacrificial part used to be your bumpstops, but now it's your shocks. It's good ride is a little stiff but it will do untill you get your hands on a set of icon shocks or king shocks to eat up the speed bumps at the mall lol or dirt roads etc it's a good option for the ones with bills and kids
Wow lol so would a coil spacer be better than the spacer that rough country provides? Or is a better shock the solution? Sorry I'm sorta new to off road suspensionThen this happens. LolView attachment 21960
From there I went to the Toytec adjustable coilovers. Bilstein 5100's seem to be a popular lower cost option that would prevent this. Old Man Emu has a good looking kit for ~$1,200 ish I think? I liked Toytec products enough to put them on 3 Tacomas if that tells you anything...Wow lol so would a coil spacer be better than the spacer that rough country provides? Just noticed you’re in a 2nd gen. Don’t use spacers if you want a better ride for DD and more ability off-road. 5100’s is better for not much more money. The OME kits are good too.Wow lol so would a coil spacer be better than the spacer that rough country provides? Or is a better shock the solution? Sorry I'm sorta new to off road suspension
That is some live and learn advice lol. I'm running the 17's that come in the sport and 4runner the offset is why I'm using the spacers not for looks it runs the upper control arm bc it's a 11.2 inch tire and it was cheaper than getting new rimsJust noticed you’re in a 2nd gen. If you had a 3rd gen off-road and wanted to lift it 3” for tires and looks the revtek Pro 40013 is the best of the worse. Personally I wouldn’t put it in again for DD reasons. It did ok off road I didn’t have any issues with it there. I’d look at the 5100’s or OME. If you get spacers paired with your current suspension it will be awful for DD and off-road. You’ll wish you would have saved the $400 and put it towards the 5100’s or OME kit.
Were you asking about wheel spacers or coil spacers? I’m confused now hahaThat is some live and learn advice lol.
