Lighting Nightmare...

My name is Chuck. I have a 2004 Tacoma prerunner Limited. Bought it new, just had its 22nd birthday, 127000 miles. It's been a while since I logged in, I hope all is well out there! I'm having an issue, and I am wondering if anyone else has had the same issue. Thanks in advance. My Tacoma came with factory installed running boards with courtesy lights. The lenses were starting to yellow on me, I installed LED's about a year ago, twice as bright as the factory lights, no problems since then. I've recently gotten tired of the yellowed light lenses and ordered new clear replacement lenses. I changed out the passenger side lenses first, awesome, even brighter than before! Now the problem starts, I change out the drivers side lenses and now, none of the four lights work??? I start back tracking. Pull all bulbs, test them all are fine. I use my multi tester, and I'm not getting any voltage to any of the plugs. I check all the fuses, they are all good. So I go back and look closer at the plugs, I notice some exposed wire with a little corrosion on two of them. I order four new plugs and pre-test them before the installation. I thought, surely that will do it! Nope, still nothing. I have heard of a fuse looking good but still turned out to bad. So I replaced every single ATM fuse in the truck, cabin panel and engine compartment box, still nothing. With my wife's help, we went through all the lights in and on the truck and everything works except those running board lights. This is driving me crazy. I would appreciate any feedback. Dumbfounded in Florida.....

I know you gen1 guys love throwing any amount of new parts into those old trucks, but have you at least checked for voltage at those fuses supplying those lights? Could be something simple as a broken wire, or bad connection.
Btw, I was in florida this past january...beautiful state, and weather that time of year, and a bonus being trump country to.

Come on jay...help out one of your a gen1 buddies with this, you can do it.
