That's exactly how it works ... unless of course you broke the base off.

Automatic car wash got mine.. snapped it at the base.. what a PITA. I thought about using the broken antenna to beat the sh"t outta the car wash dude when he said "not responsible ".. but I figured goin to jail would just add to my frustrations [emoji23]. :banghead
