There are 3 classes. Wait to watch the MotoGP 1 racers. Those are the 1000 cc bikes.

Nascar hasn't been stock car racing since they used stock cars. Never seen a v8, rear wheel, drive 4 speed manual Toyota Camary as an example.

a local track here refused to let a guy i met this summer at a Yota meet take his badass rotted '86 MR2 on the course because they were concerned some rust would fall off his car onto the track

They wouldn't allow cars as those on the road courses here either. They have to meet certain safety rules. Tech does a good job inspecting the cars that they meet all the rules.
