New fox 2.0 shock question

So i recently purchased fox 2.0 coil overs and boxed upper control arms. Im curious if i adjust the coilovers if i will affect the suspension travel. Im only looking to get about 2” of lift if that matters.

As you add preload to the springs, you eat up downtravel. This happens with all suspension lifts on coilovers except top plate spacers since they space down the entire coilover but that causes it's own issue.
