ive had a few Toyota Tacoma’s and pickups through the years and stumbled across another.
1988 x can 4x4. It’s a friends truck he finally came off of. Bad news is, he had the motor “rebuilt” last summer and when backing boat in the the water in his backyard the motor started overheating and such, this is after a fresh rebuild. He got pissed, kicked in drivers fender and door and left it. I took it off his ands for 500 bucks. Cab is rust free and decent interior, bed looks like it will need bed sides or a flat bed. I’ve done bolt on things to trucks all my life, full on suspension lifts, turbo kits, replaced timing chains on v6 interference motors. I’m expecting a motor rebuild, if I get a shop to check and mill motor and rebuild the head how difficult would be purchasing a rebuild kit and putting it together myself? Also, I notice a ton of vacuum lines, has anyone had any lu k with deleting a lot of these, basically for emissions?
