New LED Lights Installed

So after reading a bunch of threads at TW and procrastinating an equal amount of time, I finally decided to install LEDs in the cab. I also put LEDs in the grill, ala "raptor" lights.

I bought everything here:

http://www.oznium.com

The interior LEDs are pre-wired 5mm Amber- http://www.oznium.com/prewired-leds
the "raptor" lights are side view bolts- http://www.oznium.com/side-view-led-bolt

The 5mm Amber color matches the stock color perfectly. I originally bought 3mm Amber LEDs off of eBay, but the color was more of a yellow not the orange I was looking for. The whips were 12" which made the wiring easier, especially the one above the console pocket. Since the LEDs are "rounded" on the end and this would give a spotlight look, I sanded them down to get a wide light dispersal pattern. I used the plastic LED holders and epoxied the snap rings (which DO go on only one way); the chrome ones are more secure IF you solder your own LEDs. They also "cone" the light pattern; I wanted a more diffused look.

Since I used the stock grill, I had to do either 2 or 4 lights. The center grill emblem negates putting one directly in the center, so I had to space them out- 7.5" cc.

I also used this opportunity to install the LED board to light up the 4x4 selector switch. The selector switch and light above console pocket I wired off of the HVAC connector and the cup holder lights come off of the gear shift indicator light. I made my own "molex" connectors with connectors and pins from here- http://www.te.com/en/products/product-landing.html - in order to give a somewhat "factory" appearance.

My next project is twofold: I hate the fact that you cannot turn on the fog lights with just the parking lights, like every single domestic vehicle with factory fog lights can do. Since the fog light circuit pulls from the headlights, I'm going to change it so they are available once the parking lights are powered. 2nd- I want the DTRL look all the time, even with headlights on.

There's also an idea of adding puddle lights, turn signals and heat to the side mirrors...
