Joined Tacoma Forum today...Debating a Tundra or a Tacoma. Not really apples to apples but the mpg issue is my biggest concern. Have had 1/2 tons 3/4 tons regular, extended and crew/gas and diesel. Needless to say the best built most reliable has been and currently is my son's 03 Tacoma. Looking to pull approx 3-4k lbs for work purposes. Does anyone pull frequently with there (newer) 13-14 Tacoma (crew) and if so are there regrets on capability issues. Thanks...

New Tacoma V6 with tow package should be fine doing that. The V6 with tow package limit is 6500lbs. Don't expect to win races or get awesome MPGs though and keep the tongue weight down unless you like the rear to sag. If you were pulling closer to the limit I would say go with the larger truck.
