Noisy cold clutch

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, by not new to owning Toyotas. I had a strange issue with my clutch this morning. I have a 6 speed with a 4 month old clutch and throw out bearing. This morning was cold (26 degrees) and I started the truck, put it in neutral, and released the clutch. I noticed that the clutch was very sluggish and stiff (cold I presume) and there was a fairly loud whining noise coming from the thowout bearing area. It was much louder than the squeak the throw out bearing did 4 months ago prior t replacing it. I almost thought it was a fan belt issue at first. As soon as I depressed the clutch it went away, I drove to the back of my work, and I could not reproduce the sound. I'd like to think this is strictly cold related, but it doesn't seem normal. Any thoughts, opinions, or similar experiences? Any help is appreciated.

My buddy has had his clutch replaced due to the release bearing 4 times in 80k miles on his '12. Toyo covered the first 2 under warranty, the 3rd they begrudgingly agreed to do under warranty, and the 4th he paid labor only. He's an idiot for keeping the thing. I told him to go ahead and schedule the next one now so he can just pull it into the dealership without having to wait for an appointment.

I replaced my clutch on my 09 Tacoma (4 cyl) at 125,000 miles. I think Toyota uses a LUK clutch parts (OEM) made in Mexico (North American models). They use a Japanese manf. for truck sold in other parts of the world??? I replaced my with a SACH "super set". The SACH clutch was made in Japan and seemed to be of higher quality?? I got over 50,000 miles on this clutch with no problems and tow a small boat (1500 lbs) to Canada a few times every summer.
