Not happy with my factory replacement headlights

So my factory headlights where not that good. They told me that they had a recall but I missed it. I put some headlights on off eBay and they sucked. I got some from Toyota around 700.00 if I remember right. This was back in October 5, 2016 and they are melting. Has anyone else had this problem

Sucks dude. Those may be the pre TSB lights.

I swapped to LED so I haven't had a melting issue. However, the main lens itself already looks sun damaged. I'm sure the only only reason we don't have glass headlights anymore is before of some pedestrian accident regulation. Good ol' gooberment.

I’m sure you’re right about that. Along with cost effectiveness of the plastic. Glass headlight lenses are of a bygone era. Like wing vent windows... I miss those things.

Thought so. My suggestion would be to put protective film over them as soon as tou take them out of the box.

I have to take my truck in to have the front bumper replaced again so they are going to install the new headlights then

yes I installed the bulb and the light flashed very fast and got hot so I pulled them out. they say you have to install inline resistors and I don't want to cut my factory wiring to install lights

I spent the money on VLEDs so everything is plug and play.

I got their Triton LED kit. Pricey for what it is but it's bright as hell and all plug and play. The optional resistor box plugs into their wiring.

Definitely looks like a good product. I've had their led headlights in my cart a couple times I'm just scared about blinding the **** out of people..
