Howdy!
Has anyone tried and/or been able to install OEM TOYOTA hood struts from a 5th-gen 4Runner (or maybe even a 2nd-gen Tundra) on a ‘16-‘23 Tacoma?
Yes, l know Redline and Spiker sell kits, but l’m not a fan of this kind of aftermarket parts as if they stop making them and then you need a replacement, you’ll be SOL.
Anyway, l searched and searched, but haven’t been able to find any info on this mod. It’d seem like, however, the hood struts for a 4Runner could be made to fit on our trucks. I have a hood liner from a 4Runner, so l figure maybe they’d work?
