Phone holder?

I have a 2005 and I have not been able to find a phone mounting system that works. I’m looking for recommendations.

I’ve tried one that mounts in the cd slot. It falls out on bumpy roads

I’ve tried a magnetic mount that clips to the vent louvre and the phone falls off going over bumps.

I do t like the windshield suction cup style because it restricts vision.


Any ideas?
 
I have the iOttie air vent one and it has never fallen off or moved much.

You pretty much named all your options outside of mounting something permanently to the dash.

I live in New England so the vent mounts cause a problem in the winter. With the heat on the phone gets very hot.

I like the idea of the track but the 2005 dash above the center console is bumpy and I am concerned the adhesive will not work well. This causes a problem for the suction method too.

The weather tech cup holder keeps the phone too low and I worry it will be too distracting
 
Try Pro Clip USA. They have a variety of mounting solutions. I always visit them when I get a new vehicle. The Taco solutions are ok for 3rd Gen, but I didnt want to restrict access to infotainment system or vents, so I opted for the suction mount. You first choose the vehicle mount, then the device mount.
 
I have a windshield style mount that input in the lower corner on drivers side and it doesn't obstruct any view plus it it charges wirelessly
