Please help, regarding automatic doorlock

Tacoma 2015 TRD Sport

Hey everyone, new here. We just bought a Tacoma 2015 TRD Sport and notice that when we turn the engine on, the doors does not automatically lock nor does it unlock automatically when ignition is turned off. Is this something that can be easily changed/programmed somehow? We also have a 2000 Tacoma TRD off-road that auto locks and unlock. Thanks for any help :) Happy New Year!
 
Yeah I find it annoying as well. Especially since I like driving with locked doors but in the event of a car accident I'd want them unlocking just to be safe in the incase I end up unconscious.
