Re-painting your Tacoma

Does anyone know what the cost is for the same quality paint job as the first day you got your truck from a Toyota dealer? I believe my truck is a black sand pearl, if that matters at all.

Figure about $5K+ for a really good paint job.

whippersnapper is correct!! A quality paint job is not cheap... very labor intensive. Many body shops also have to invest in new equipment to spray the new paints and clear coats.

You can go to MACCO and get a cheap paint job done, although I must warn you, do not expect quality work! Personally if your truck will see a lot of dirt then I see no point in a quality paint job since it will just get damaged again anyways. My buddy just get his paint redone cheap when it goes bad, he only got charged 300$ for an entire respray lol. Or you could wrap you truck which is more expensive but provides protection to the paint.

I wonder what a coat of bed coating would look. I know it would be almost bullet proof, I saw a segment on Myth Busters where they sprayed a little beater car and took a sledge hammer to it and could not dent it. It bounced back every time and didn't break or crack.
