Service Engine light

My 2018 Tacoma V6 with 4000kms has the service engine light on, just wondering, Since I just filled up I have reason to believe the gas may of been bad, the gas cap is tight.
Any ideas what also may have caused this?

Are you sure the gas cap was tight when you left the filling station? That’s like 2500 miles right?

Take the negative battery cable off for a half hour and put it back on. If it doesn’t go off I’d take it to the dealer it’s under warranty.

On second gens it does.

When my transmission gets sloppy, i disconnect the neg terminal for half an hour. Then the next time i drive it, it seems to shift firmer, and the 5th gear flare seems to go away.
